unschooling: soon and very soooooooon!

So, this e-book publishing thing just hasn’t been happening. Life (Cambodia prep, stolen van, what have you) has gotten in the way, and yeah.

Then Gabe told me about this $39.99 software that “will make publishing ebooks soooo much easier.” He’s been doing a lot of research, and I know I should just trust his judgment, but I was all, “I don’t know… 4o bucks… are you sure it’s worth it?”

Um, is saving our marriage over another e-book debacle worth 40 dollars??

Why, yes, I think it is.

So, he bought it, and aside from the hassle of removing all 898 tabs I’d inserted at the beginning of paragraphs (have mercy) and re-formatting it all, the process was DREAMY.

And really, really, reeeeeeeally soon, you’ll be able to buy the e-book on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and iTunes.

(And some of you get a FREE PDF as promised.)

While you wait, here’s a peek at the cover. Designed by Unschooled Daughter #1. I think it makes the book extra-special.

I love my Kindle, although I do love ‘real’ books better. But I have an addiction to books and it’s a lot cheaper to obtain them for the Kindle. I read on my Kindle, kindle app on iPad, rarely on my desktop, and used to read on my phone, but it took up too much data.

    awesome cover, Livi!

I never thought I’d give up my paper books, but I have become a big fan of the kindle in recent years. It doesn’t replace the feel and smell of a real book, but it is so convenient. I’ve always been an avid reader, but I’ve read significantly more since getting a kindle because of how much easier it is to bring along or prop open than a book. ..however if I have an hour to sit and read uninterrupted (haha–I can dream!) I’m going to chose a tangible book

ack! My “chose” seems to have lost an “o”
How many times have I posted something and seen an error glaring back at my face? You’d think I’d have learned my lesson by now, but I can’t seem to remember to edit things before I post. Does that mean I’d be a bad unschooler? 😉

I have lots of e-books, but, ahem, hardly ever read them. 🙁 I’m a real-book kinda girl too. When I do read them, I use the Kindle app on my ipad. May just have to break my own hardly-ever-read-an-ebook rule when this one comes out! 🙂 Livi – AWESOME job on the cover!!

Currently when I buy a book its for my Kindle but if I really love it I buy a paper copy so I can lend it out. I need a pdf version of yours so I can print it out for my husband. Poor man is really confused about this whole unschooling thing. We both were homeschooled but my version was a little more on the unschooling side and his was a very structured version. If that makes sense?

I read on my phone or tablet. I love that the Kindle app syncs between devices so it doesn’t matter which one I’m on, as long as there’s wifi for the tablet to sync, of course.

Love this!! I am super duper excited to read it! I’m a Kindle girl. I feel like my laptop is too big and my phone is too small. My Kindle is juuuuussssstttt right. 🙂

I love the cover. Well done, Livi!!!

I sometimes use my Kindle if I’m somewhere that I can read (waiting at the Docs office for example) away from home. Otherwise, I read on my laptop.

That cracks me up that you haven’t read an ebook!!!

Sooo glad you are coming out of the funk!

Yay! I can’t wait to read it! And way to go Livi with the awesome cover!!!

I used to read ebooks on my Kindle Keyboard, but now that I have my smart phone with the Kindle app, I use that instead. Because I always have it with me and it has color!
