short is good

I’m blogging just because I’m sick of looking at that long blog from Sunday night. I’m getting ready to go somewhere fun to eat with my mom, sister, 3 cousins, and 2 first- cousins-once-removed. Oh, and my 3 daughters.

I just read Donald Miller’s Blue Like Jazz and was convicted of many things. Most importantly, that I am not doing a good job of loving people. I am doing a good job of being annoyed by people which, in essence, is me saying, “I am better than you. I don’t have time for you. The things you do are beneath me. You are dirt.” That is not love, in case you were wondering.

More thoughts later…

I had so much fun with you yesterday! I LOVE your new house! And I absolutely ADORE your 3 girls! I feel like exploding with love and happiness every time I’m around all of you!! Hooray for family!

Feel the same way about loving people sometimes – it’s so easy to feel annoyed by them and think we never annoy other people! Haven’t read any of Donald Miller’s stuff. I’m reading ‘Knowing God’ by J.I. Packer at the moment, and it’s really, really hard going.

Short is good, but I love reading your long blogs too! Hope and pray everything has smoothed out for you. Did the credit card issue get resolved?

We ate at Red Robin, and my fajita pollo salad wasn’t the greatest, but it was fun. As for DM, I don’t agree with it all either, but he is definitely making me think. And a first cousin once removed is when your first cousin has a baby. My kids and her kids are second cousins, but her baby and I are in different generations, so we’re first cousins once removed. 🙂

DM did have some good points such as that one. I remember wondering how well I’m doing at loving people.

Have fun at lunch! Are you discovering the fun C-bus places?
