saturday secrets

Someone special is coming to spend the night with me tomorrow night. Shhhh…I can’t tell you who.

We’re going somewhere special tomorrow before the someone special comes. Shhhhh…I can’t tell you where. I thought about saying something earlier, but our plan A turned into plan B turned into plan C, so who knows what’s going to happen? I’ll just tell you all about it Monday.

This next one is a secret FROM me. Someone sent me a Buy 1 Get 1 Free Pei Wei coupon in the mail today. I don’t know if it’s the same person who sent me $ for Pei Wei last week or not. Whoever you are (I can see you out there saying shhhhhh….), please know that I am indebted to you for life. Bless you to bits!

Did any of you follow the story of John Piper’s granddaughter Felicity Margaret who was stillborn at 39 weeks last September? It broke my heart, and I’ve been following Molly’s (her mama) blog off and on for the past few months. (her daddy’s blog is also cool. it’s called 22 words and every post is exactly that. craziness.) Anyway, I hadn’t checked her blog in awhile, and I did tonight, and oh my goodness, she shared a secret

This next part is NOT a secret. If you live in Ohio, or any of the fine states that border it, you’re welcome to join us for Xangafestapalooza Fall 2008. (if you don’t personally know someone on the list, you must fill out a small application, pay a $35 fee and get fingerprinted. then you’re in!) It’s going to be such an exciting time! We had a get-together in March, and it was a blast. I expect this one to be even better as the Campbell sisters are hosting it. They are the most darling, delightful gals you’ll ever meet. The big event takes place on September 27. Holly from France will be there, as will various and sundry adorable pregnant women. New babies too. And there are rumors of cakeballs. Mark your calendars and do everything you can to be there!

A couple years ago, Gabe exchanged a few e-mails with David Murrow, the author of Why Men Hate Going to Church. He just found this blog post written by David about Sarah Palin, and I enjoyed the read.

I wish I knew some more secrets, but unfortunately, I’m all out. And I have 16 minutes to get in bed by my self-imposed 11:00 deadline. I’ve got to get up before the crack of dawn.

Have a wonderful Saturday, friends!!

22 words, August 22, at 12:22?  There is one awesome God powerfully at work in this little boy’s life.  As if I even needed to say it!  Sorry, Marla… I have to go back and read the rest of your entry because I was so taken by that portion of it!!!
