over-(whelmed, booked, kill, tired, the hedge)

This has been quite the week. Whoa to the oa.

NEWS ALERT: We’re taking the week off from Radical. If you’re lagging behind, WHAT A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO CATCH UP. Have your Chapter 6 posts ready for 10-26 (and thanks in advance for understanding).

I had a feeling October might be a bit much. Five speaking engagements, lots of playdates and get-togethers, reading buddies and outreaches and big events. My 35th birthday. And we’re barely past the halfway mark of the month. Whew.

I haven’t read all your Radical posts from last week, I have spin-off posts simmering in my brain, I’m speaking to high-schoolers on s-e-x Thursday (PRAYERS PLEASE) and some sweet ladies on Saturday, so lots of prep time (and prayer) to squeeze in.

I experienced the most amazing blessing Saturday and have a story to share about it (which involves a pastor in footie pajamas and a woman with more children than I have fingers).

My poor, tired husband left the house at 4:45 a.m. today to shoot 2100 pictures of the Columbus Marathon, got home mid-afternoon, then left to shoot for 3+ more hours at a Secret Keeper Girl event (not to be a Darla Downer, but I’m reeeeeally glad our tickets were free, because it just wasn’t our thing).

We have eaten more fast food in the past week than I thought was even possible. Our poor wallets, our poor waist lines, our poor general overall health.

So I LEAVE you (pun! pun!) with some pics from last week of a little hike we took at a local Metro Park.

Have a great week!!

Thank you for the week off. I read he chapter, but the blog posting hasn’t been in me today. Heck not even my tech blog stuff sounds appealing now as I have been hammering homework so I don’t have any this weekend cuz it’s PUMPKIN SHOW WEEK!

Heading down to Circleville on Saturday to get some pumpkin things…..pumpkin chili, pumpkin cream puff, pumpkin burgers (like a sloppy joe) and pumpkin waffles (not real waffles…rosettes is what I think they really are). Looking forward to a great family weekennd!

Oh, ya, I’ll be using the “Radical” break to catch up! Friend, I will be praying for you this week and all that you have on your plate. May He give you extra strength, stamina, and His anointing to take it moment by moment without worrying. And wow, those are amazing colors you have in your neck of the woods!

Hi Marla! I’ve been so rude… you send me TWO fabulous books and I haven’t even made it by to say thank you! I haven’t finished (either) yet but I’ve started (both). I love them. You’re such a talented/insightful writer. I can’t wait to see what you publish next!! Anyway, thanks and I love the GORGEOUS fall pics!

Thank you, thank you! We’ve had a a hard time getting through this chapter due to family activities and general business. Praying for your week of ministry.

Your week sounds like chaos. I am curious to see how you are addressing the sex topic with high school students. I will most definitely be praying for you when you address this topic and all of the others.

I’m curious to see how I’m addressing the topic too!! Seriously–leaning heavily on the Holy Spirit to give me just the right words! Thanks SO much for praying, Kamrie! If you have any ideas, please e-mail me!

Thanks for the “walk” this week as I still haven’t posted from last week! Let’s just say that I am happy to be unpacking my bags and putting them away for a couple of months. As for those pictures of Fall? It makes me just want to weep for missing seasons of any kind. And for a Houston girl, that is saying a LOT since seasons are not something we specialize in there!! Going to catch up on my posts and look forward to being on time from this point forward!

Anything I can do to help a sister out!! 😉 And hey-our leaves will all be in on the ground in a couple weeks and everything will be brown and gray and FREEZING and awful. There–do you feel any better??
