I’ve been wishing that I had a little something I could offer as a bribe gift for people who donate Expecting books. I know you don’t need any incentive (obviously–190 books!), but it can be fun, eh?
I finally thought of something. I have lots of Blushing Bride books taking up residence in my closet, and I’d love to pass some along to you. They make a great little White Elephant Gift or a Five Dollar Office Gift Exchange Gift or an I-Have-Dave’s-Aunt-Sally’s-Name-for-Christmas-and-NO-Idea-What-to-Get-Her Gift. Or an encouragement gift for a young (or not-so-young) wife at your church. Or your sister-in-law. Or your neighbor.
Anyway.
Wednesday and Thursday, if you go to the website and buy 2 Blushing Bride books ($6 each, shipping included), I will send you THREE Blushing books PLUS donate an Expecting book to a pregnancy center in your honor.

I’ll have another update soon on the Expecting books and where they’re going and whose names are on them, but I’m wiped tonight. I spent most of the day e-mailing and messaging people about the books and getting them ready to be sent. I had no idea it would be so time-consuming, but I’m not complaining ONE IOTA. This is awesome.
This sweet friend is helping me write in all of them (To: a very special Mama-to-be/From: Elizabeth with love and prayers/Date: November 18, 2009/Blessings to you and your little one! Marla Taviano Psalm 19:14) tomorrow. I did 15 yesterday and today and realized it would take me for-ever on my own. We’re also going to pack boxes, label and tape them and put together a little something special to add to the books. I’m excited!
Keep sending me the names of pregnancy centers you’re connected with. I eventually want to get everyone hooked up with books.

I have to let you know that last night I had dinner with a couple of girlfriends of mine. We talked fashion and food and the funny things our kids do. And then we talked marriage. I was shocked and heartbroken over what these two God-fearing women are going through in their marriages. It really put into perspective the awesome marriage my husband and I are buliding together.
Then I come to your blog this morning and here you are throwing out a giving incentive that is PERFECT for my friends. Coincidence? I think not. What is really funny is that I have wanted to donate an Expecting book but I couldn’t figure out how to from your links. They just weren’t working for me. I went to your link to order the incentive package today and it worked just fine! God really has it all under control, doesn’t He? Please pray for these ladies. I put their names in the message information and I can’t wait to get these books in their sweet little hands. Thank you so much for making this available at the perfect time.

Without a doubt, leading worship and singing with all the kids at chapel at my girlies’ school! Two chapel services on Weds. AM – one for the bigs and one for the littles…it’s a highlight of my week!
Wednesday means we are over half way to the weekend!
