oh my phew.

phew (interjection): an exclamation of relief, surprise, disbelief, weariness, etc.

Weariness is my main reason for the phew. But now that I think about it, there’s a fair amount of relief, surprise, and disbelief tossed in there too.

Man alive. What an encouragement to be surrounded by so many people who want to follow Jesus!

If you read through any of the comments or posts from yesterday, you know there’s a lot of emotion and questions and angst all mixed in with a lot of excitement and wonder and pure joy.

Apparently, following Jesus is going to be MESSY. Not what we clear-cut, black-and-white, legalistic, control freaks like to hear. Stinks to be us, huh?

Well, here’s the deal. I have a LOT more to say. But hello. I’m sensing pretty strongly that I’m supposed to hush my mouth for a bit (which is a pretty radical thing for me to do, now that I think about it). Read through the rest of your posts, take some time to pray, comment quietly if I must, but mostly just chill.

Thank you, God, for what you’re doing. I’m honored and humbled to have a part in it. I love you.

All I can say is that there’s no way I can go through this book alone. My husband is now reading it with me along with my mentor and another friend from Houston. I am most excited about my husband reading it………and excited to have God work through both of us. It’s going to be messy, but I like getting messy so it works for me!
