That’s what I feel like sometimes. Pray for me! Pray for me! Pray for me! Oh well. If I need it, I’ll ask for it. And thank you for granting my requests.
My pre-interview went well. The publicist at Harvest House told me it would be a screening to see if they want to do an interview with me. As it turns out, I’m already a go. They were just getting to know me. Whew. The ministry is called HomeWord. (Something is screwy with my toolbar, and I can’t make a link to their site. www.homeword.com) My interview would air sometime this summer, and you can listen to it online if you’re so inclined.
I got a letter in the mail today from the White House. My friend Joanne sent a copy of one of her books to Laura Bush and got a reply, so I sent her Blushing and Is That All a couple months ago. She sent a typed, but hand-signed (not a stamp, according to Gabe) letter and three envelopes of 11 pictures each for the girls. The pics are of the Pres, Mrs. Bush, the Cheneys, the dogs, Air Force One, the Oval Office, etc. and have info on the back.
Here’s the super-cool letter:
The White House
April 9, 2007
Dear Mrs. Taviano,
Thank you for your sweet note and the copies of From Blushing Bride to Wedded Wife and Is That All He Thinks About? I admire you for writing books to help couples strengthen their marriages.
Enclosed are some photos for Olivia, Ava, and Nina to enjoy!
With best wishes,
The girls liked the photos but weren’t impressed by the letter. “Laura Bush admires my wife!” Gabe said. Joanne told me I might be doing the country good by sending book #2 to the wife of our President, lol.
I have no idea what’s up with this xanga. It’s not lettin’ me do nothin’. That’s my cue to skedaddle. Happy Sunny Friday!
