please pray for me

EDIT (5:32pm): Thank you SO much for praying, guys! I beg you to keep it up! In the past hour, I’ve felt amazingly better. I’m awfully weak, but my fever broke, and I haven’t thrown up since the van episode. Praise the Lord! (Did I mention that I am petrified of vomiting?) I still can’t bring myself to eat anything, but I’m going to try chicken broth here in a bit. Still sitting on the toilet quite a bit. (What could possibly be left inside me??) I have some raw-awful hemorrhoids from all the you-know. But I’ll take that over nausea any day!

Ava just asked me if I was feeling better. “You look a lot better,” she said. Those 2 have been complete angels since they got home. Loving on me, getting their own snacks, helping with Nina. Gabe’s at a meeting, so I’m extra-thankful for their help. (Okay, spoke too soon. They just started yelling at each other.)

I KNOW your prayers have been instrumental in me feeling this much better already! Bless you to bits and more bits! I love you!

I’m sicker than a dog and need to head to Michigan in less than 24 hours. Woke up feeling yucky. Tried to run. Came home. Had some…loose bowels. And again. And again, again, again. Dragged myself to Bible study. Wanted to kill myself all the way home. Made it 15 minutes, pulled into our street, stopped the van, opened the door. Puked 5 times. I haven’t thrown up since October 2001.

Pray that this is a 24-hour bug (or less!). I need some divine intervention to make it to Michigan. Tonia, I’ll be in touch. Unless God says absolutely not, I’ll be there, come hell or high fever.

Thanks, guys.

M- Trust me, I’d NEVER share that virus with ANYONE!!  Esp. you via Xanga.  And although I didn’t have a fever, I can assure you that you and I have had the exact same symptoms, all of them except the fever.  Like you, I didn’t think I could have anything left in my system, but I did.  Four pounds went away that day in one way or another.  Praying still for you.  Please take it easy though.  Here it is, Thurs. and I’m still eating basic foods—bread, french toast, etc.  Gas X has been a great help too.  My stomach still isn’t quite right nor my abdomen.  Glad to hear you are a bit better.  Lord, please help Marla to know what she can do, and what You would have her do.

Had the same symptoms last night…and for me it lasted less than 24 hours…and I think Leah had the same earlier this week and it was less than 24 for her, too.  Ed says it seems to be going around at his work as well.

    Prayed for you!

Praying—Marla, that’s exactly what I had on Monday this week.  And I hadn’t thrown up for over 20 years.  What a shocker that was!  My experience with it was that I was still not feeling very well on the second day.  Third day was okay, but my innererds are still not back to 100%.

I know I can say this to you Marla…  How cool is this?  Yes, I know.  Being sick is not cool.  Of course not.  But, Satan hates God’s work, God’s word, and God’s children!

This is a major touch against you, but a major victory for God on the way!  And a major buster shot for faith!  Whewweee!  When we are week, then He is strong!  I’m praying for you!  Be filled in Him today, sweet Marla!  I’m praying for His strength to be full in you!  Remember… no matter how you feel, He’s got this all under control to His glory!  He know’s your heart, sweet thing, hang in there!

Praying your body under His blood!  Healing, health, and happy traveling.

    Read Acts 5:17-41.

38 Therefore, in the present case I advise you: Leave these men alone! Let them go! For if their purpose or activity is of human origin, it will fail. 39But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God.” 40His speech persuaded them. They called the apostles in and had them flogged. Then they ordered them not to speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.

41The apostles left the Sanhedrin, rejoicing because they had been counted worthy of suffering disgrace for the Name.

Rejoicing with you in your suffering, and asking our Abba if it may be over QUICKLY!

    Praying for your weekend!

    In Him Alone,

    A

Lord, please lay Your healing hands on Marla, and take away her sickness. Restore her vigor and energy, God, and calm her stomach. Enable her to bless those who wait for her. Lord Jesus, I know You hear our prayers and You promise to answer them. I praise Your Holy and Blessed name, and thank You for Your answer to this prayer for Marla. In Your Holy name I pray. Amen.

Oh Marla… I’ll pray for you and hope you are feeling better!  I’ve seen a lot of “stuff” this past week and a half with Titus….it’s no fun to be sick!
