Oh, goodness. We’re 30 minutes away from the end of our 15th anniversary, and I haven’t blogged about my gushing love for my husband. It’s okay, though, because we had loads of fun just being together today (with no flowers or jewelry in sight).

We’re both exhausted (see status about 2+ hour walk below), but Gabe was gracious enough to get me some pics to use for this post (thanks, dude!).

In honor of our day, I’m copying and pasting all my fb statuses (I wrote about us all day long!), adding Gabe’s pics, and calling it 15 years. Some other random day I might reflect on some stuff, but for now I’ll just say this: I love this man more than ever.

(Facebook, 8ish a.m.) Happy Sappy 15th Anniversary to Gabe the Babe, my favorite person on the planet!! I love you like crazy, dude. I fell for you on that b-ball court at camp all those years ago because you were hot. Who knew there was so much to love about you besides that?? I wouldn’t trade you for the world. I’m so blessed. xoxoxoxo

(To me from Gabe) Thankful to spend our 15th anniversary together today with Marla Taviano. Glad God had us in His plan. I’m a better man by being loved well, supported, challenged, inspired, proud, trusted, and appreciated. Didn’t know so many others would be reading about me 15 years ago, but I wouldn’t change anything if I had to do it over again. If I were a single woman looking to learn about marriage, I’d pick up your books. But thankfully I am not. You are loved.

(Facebook, 1ish p.m.) Getting bundled up to take a 15th Anniversary walk with Gabe the Babe in the freezing cold and snow. On this day 15 years ago, it was 40 degrees warmer than it is today. In sickness and health, in warmth and in frigidness, for richer for poorer. Let’s do this.

(Facebook, 3ish p.m.) Well, the Anniversary Walk in the Snowy Woods ended up taking over two hours. We stopped a few times to take pics for posterity, but other than that it was solid walking/hiking, most of it chasing deer on paths clearly not intended for humans. I’m soaked in sweat, my sciatic nerve is flared like the dickens, my coat and pants have little thorn rips all over them, and I lost my right glove (and spent 45 futile minutes looking for it). All in the name of love.

(Facebook, 5ish p.m.) 1.) I wish you could’ve heard Gabe groan when he lifted me up for this shot (both times–we had to retake it). 2.) I only weigh four pounds more than I did on our wedding day, and he didn’t groan then. And 3.) from the picture, it would appear that those four pounds are all in my rear end. Holy cow. Gabe says it’s just the angle, but holy humongo butt.

(Facebook, 7ish p.m.) Gabe asked me what I wanted to do on our anniversary date besides eat dinner. I said, “Go to a coffee shop, and you re-design my blog.” Wish granted. $7.50 is a really good deal for a new website.

(Facebook, 8ish p.m.) In honor of our 15th anniversary, giving away a FREE copy of The Husband’s Guide to Getting Lucky e-book to anyone and everyone who wants one! Offer good through 11:59pm on Friday, January 4. Message me if you’re interested. Feel free to spread the word to your married peeps. http://husbandsgetlucky.com/ (Offer still stands. E-mail me if you’d like a copy.)

Happy, happy anniversary, dude! I love you like crazy!!
