taking a breather

Okay, I know I said there’d be another post on orphan care. And there will be. But not today. Hopefully tomorrow. You can catch up on Post 1, Meet the McCollums, and Post 2 while you’re waiting.

We’re going through some personal stuff right now, and certain family members need some extra tender loving care, so I’m gonna keep doing that (thank you, Jesus, for giving me strength) and get to blog stuff as I can. If you’ve been praying for us, BLESS YOU. I can feel it.

Some of you need to scoot on over and INTRODUCE YOURSELVES on the Read-a-Long post from yesterday. LOTS of you said “I’m in!” and not as many of you “signed up,” so don’t be shy, and give us all a big howdy-do. (At last count, we had 19 states representin’. Woot!!)

Last thing. I’ve shared this on Facebook and Twitter (and have been flat-out blown away by the response), so I’m going to share it here too. A dear, sweet friend of mine is blogging beautifully (and anonymously) about life after her husband’s infidelity and how God is sustaining her and her kiddos. If you or a loved one need some encouragement in this area, please e-mail me, and I’ll give you the link. I’m so proud of her for bringing God glory through such a dark and difficult time.

Happy Ash Wednesday! (is that an oxymoron?)
