one big hangover

Can you still use the word “hangover” if no alcohol was involved? (Just a lot of Monster energy drinks and Pepsi.)

I stumbled out of bed at 7:10 this morning and let Liv and Ave sleep until 7:30. It took all the physical strength I could muster (and much persuasion–i.e., threats) to drag them out of bed. Poor things.

Nina just woke up, coughing/barking and crying because her sisters were already gone.

Gabe is still in bed.

We’re wiped, but this weekend was so worth it. I just felt God smiling at us the entire time. So many crazy blessings. So much quality time with people we love. Meeting sweet new friends. Rekindling old friendships.

Water slides, free food, Columbus Crew soccer, Barnes & Noble, Jack Hanna, Pillar.

My little one wants to cuddle, so I’m off to watch Super Why (a show about words–what could be better?) and eat an Everything Bagel with butter and Chive & Onion cream cheese.

So, I’m tired. And feeling a buzz. But it’s the best kind–that warm, fuzzy, no-nausea kind of buzz.

How are YOU feeling this morning, and why?

Funny, I felt the same way this morning…’hungover’ but didn’t think to describe it that way I guess. Thankful to be back home in my own bed but definitely not ready to get up with the kids. Maybe it had something to do with the nearly 40 hours and 2000 miles on the road with a 3-year-old and a baby over the last six days! 😛 Nonetheless, like you, I also felt God’s presence and was thankful for the little and big blessings along the way, thankful for His protection, and for the energy not just to endure, but to enjoy it. Didn’t get to watch it this morning, but we love Super Why too (John often asks me to sing the ABCs the way SuperWhy does), and Word World even more! 😀

I’m feeling unorganized. I need to get my act together so I can get this busy week started on the right foot. (My dad has surgery on Wednesday).

Sounds like you had a very “wow-full” weekend! No wonder you need some recovery time…and a bagel with butter AND cream cheese….and Super Why (woo hoo!).

i’m feeling——-driven. we took a “nature walk” this morning (sadly-we don’t have sidewalks, so our walks are VERY SPARSE.). and then we painted our findings. and then i blogged about Ike (refelcting on it is crazy!). and now we’re having lunch. it’s been an out-of-the-ordinary day–and I’m loving it. 🙂
oh, and i cleaned my house before bed last night so i woke up to sparkling surfaces. 🙂

LOL! Love that you can eat an everything bagel with butter AND cream cheese! I always feel guiltier for picking butter, and never thought to just do both! 🙂 If I read that all wrong and you really don’t use both, don’t tell me. I’m happy here in my litttle bubble…

I feel tired, but relaxed. These past few days in Buff. have been ones where we are just on the go all day long. But, Drew is working at the Buff store today, so thankfully, Parker and I get to stay home and relax!
