monday morning update

In tuk-tuk news…

If you haven’t heard, Veasna wrote this on my Facebook wall Sunday after church: Thank you so much guys we all here so glad that you all praying for my family. The good news this morning my dad was praying to Jesus and give his heart to Him. Praise God…

I don’t even know what to say, so I’m just going to give a hearty AMEN and let it all sink in for a little while.

In Expecting news…

We have 81 books donated (on top of the 405) so far. Praise the Lord! It’s never too late to give a book. And if you’re one of the sweethearts who said you’d give one and still need to get the money to me, now’s a great time. 😉

In Radical news…

Tomorrow is Chapter 8. Then Chapter 9 next week, and we’re done. Can you believe it? I’m hoping to have a little Radical Celebration on Tuesday, November 30 (the week after Thanksgiving). More details as I think of them (I haven’t thought of any yet).

In dishwasher news…

Can’t remember if I blogged about this or just wrote about it on Facebook. My neighbor Allison had a friend who was giving away a dishwasher. She thought of me and then took me to pick it up. Gabe took our broken one out and installed the new one (I have no idea how he figured it all out), but then it wasn’t draining right. We figured out what we need though (I think) and for now we have a little temporary system rigged up until we can get the necessary part. But YES, we have a dishwasher after 2 years, 3 months and 1 weeks without one. 🙂

In Cambodia kiddo news…

Our friend Jen gave us letters tonight that the kiddos at the orphanage had written to me, Gabe, Livi, Ava and Nina. Oh my goodness. I can’t tell you how GIDDY-THRILLED we were (are!). Nina prayed out loud no less than five times before bed that God would give us the money to go visit them. All three of them are praying. All I can say is watch out. I’m ready to see God move big.

Do you have any news (big or small) to share on this fine Monday morning?

God is so good!! To him be all glory honor and praise!

The story about the tuk-tuk has so stolen our hearts and really been a visual for me on how God can use something terrible to bring about great glory.

Wow, your news is incredible! It’s so amazing to see how prayer really works! On our homefront, well, we put our house on the market last Monday, the sign went up Tuesday at noon, and Tuesday at 7pm we had 2 offers and accepted one, for $100 over our asking price. 🙂 And at the moment, all signs are pointing to us staying. Which means time to find a house, like, yesterday. EEEEK! So there is our news for Monday morning. Have a WONDERFUL day Marla!!!
