like a broken record

I can’t stop saying it. Thank you. Thank you for praying. God heard your prayers, and He smiled, and He maybe cried at your kindness, and He answered.

I’m completely back to normal. Right back to where I was Wednesday night before I got sick. Constipated. (After not eating for awhile, I was so hungry and overdid it a bit today. Big waffle for breakfast, buffet at Le Chocolat, Rally’s for supper, candy…)

Everything went so well. The girls did great. (Livi’s still not feeling 100%. Missed her soccer game. Ava and Nina are fine.) Thank you, Moms!!

We met Tonia for dinner. It was so good to see you again, Tonia! Seems like just yesterday since I saw you a year ago. A little bummed that I wasn’t feeling up to eating something scrummy at the steakhouse. I had some bread, a few bites of baked potato, and some soup. (Then Gabe and I went to Applebees at 10pm. I was starving!)

Pillow Talk was fun. About 20 women came, and we talked about loving our hubbies and shared some tears-inducing laughter. Ann, if you’re reading this, I love you!

Up at 7:30, wrote my speech (not kidding. well, mostly not. it was on “seize this day!” my procrastination was a smidge ironic.), breakfast at the hotel, dressed and ready, went to Dollar Tree for gifts for the girls, Target, got to the church at noon. Gabe helped me get set up, greeted people with Tonia, sold some books.

Yummy lunch, shared with the ladies, did some fun activities again. They were great sports! There were some great-grandmas up there, shaking what their mamas gave ’em! I thanked them for having me back but let them know I wouldn’t be offended if they needed a few hula-hoop-free years before they ask me to speak again. I’ll save an April weekend in 2012, girls! (if any of you are here from Emmanuel, hello!! love you gals!)

Chatted with ladies at the book table as they were leaving, had fun with Tonia, packed up, headed back to Ohio (where people know how to drive).

The girls were bathed, the house was clean, it felt good to be home. I’ll post pics soon. Again, thank you for your beautiful hearts of prayer. XOXOXO!

Back to Ohio…where people know how to drive….

    Hahahaha!

I spent all the years of my college life either making fun of my Michigander friends and the way they drive or sitting in the passenger seat of their car as they drove, cringing and holding onto the door handle as though it was my life support.

And I promise that there have been a few insanely crazy drivers who almost made me wreck here in SC, and when I peer over to look at their license plate, it’s usually Michigan. Odd. 🙂

    I LOVE YOU!!!

I love you too!  It was just so much fun.  I’m sure I will be reflecting on this for a long time.  When you have time, I would love to see some of the pictures Gabe took.  If you don’t post here, would you email them to me?  Glad to hear the girls are good.  Well hopefully today, Livi is back to normal!  Thanks again, so much!  My hubby is still sulking that he didn’t get to see you guys this time.
