AND THE WINNERS ARE…

EDIT #4 (1:22 pm): Bethany called me back. She picked hers over the phone. Amy’s turn!

EDIT #3 (1:07 pm): Hello, Bethany’s at a week-long youth conference. She won’t be responding anytime soon. Amy, if you’re there, go ahead and pick your book!

EDIT #2 (7:32 am): Okay, it’s Bethy’s turn. I’d call her, but she’s probably not up yet. She and Stew are more night owls than early birds. We’re off to the zoo (shocker) to meet some friends. I’ll check in after lunch. Have a great day!

EDIT: (10:20 pm) Still waiting on Holly… I know it’s 3am (or whatever) there, Hols, but come on! Don’t you Europeans know we Americans hate to wait? Chop, chop! As for me and my children, we are heading to bed!

So, I wrote out the first 40ish of your names on slips of paper and said, “Forget this!” I went to random.org, told them I needed 5 integers randomly generated from 104, and you can see the results below. I thought about making you go through the comments and count yourselves, but my goodness, how rude would that be?! So, without further ado…

Our winners:
1st place–#81 Megan from Danville, Indiana (5 books)
2nd place–#55 Terri from Kentucky (4 books)
3rd place–#45 Holly from France (3 books)
4th place–#96 Bethany from Ohio (2 books)
5th place–#11 Amy Wyatt from Georgia (1 book)

Congratulations, ladies! I don’t know how to contact Megan, so Megan, if you could leave me a comment, we’ll get started. Megan will pick 5 books. When she’s done, Terri picks 4. And so on. Each winner has the option of choosing ONE of my books as part of their stash. So, even if Megan picks one, Terri could still pick it, and so on.

Here are the books/magazines/cds:
Culture-Proof Kids (Jeannie St. John Taylor)

Thanks for playing, everyone!!

Yeah I suck at winning things at random.  However, I did win a game of Ship to Shore at work today.  I pretty much dominated.

Oh, and by the by, not that Kelly agrees with me yet, but she pseudo-invited me to Miami, and well, I think that’d be fab…so why not move Xangafest 09 down there?  Road trip!

Besides, I’d be jonesin’ for some time out of the midwest…and why not take a road trip to see a whole bunch of people I’ve never met before?  I see the made-for-TV movie now…

LOL, you gals are a hoot. I so wish I could meet you in person when you’re home, Holly! Well, actually, I’d really love to meet you in person in Paris but you know what I mean!

  3. filledeparis

Fun! Any other Xangal could come too, perhaps? We could always meet at a park…not that it has to be a huge deal. I’ll be arriving on Sept. 16th. I return to Paris on Oct.17th. Let me know how Sept. is for you–it’s preferable for me. Oct. is busier with churches, fam, etc.

    I have returned from slumber.
    1. Diapers
    2. Rachael Ray June/July
    3. Rachael Ray August

That makes just 2 magazines, right?
If not, I’ll take the first two.

    Thanks, Marlavous!

Wow, I feel so honored!!  I can’t believe I won the big giveaway

I am not a blogger myself, but read marriageleap.com where I won a couple of your books and LOVED them!  I bought two more copies for my friends!  As a young Christian mom, married 5 years, I love your encouraging writing style (and also the fact that you graduated from CU, where my best friend and B/SIL went)…

So this is a long comment.  The books I would love are: My Heart’s at Home, All You Need to Know About Raising Girls, A Life that Says Welcome, Culture-Proof Kids, & Changing Your World One Diaper at a Time…  I’ll email contact info and THANK YOU!!!
