update

Thank you so much for praying for my grandma. She’s in a medically-induced coma right now. They want her to save her energy to fight the infection in her lungs. She’s still on oxygen–but just 55%. They’re playing everything by ear, so I don’t know much else at this point. Keep praying if you could.

The girls are all better. Praise the Lord! Both of their grandmas will be here with them while Gabe and I are in Indy. They can hardly wait.

My cousin Camy had a baby boy on Friday–Asias (uh-SY-us) Timothy. We went to visit him tonight, and he is just precious adorable (abby–you caught me!) . They borrowed our video camera to use in the hospital and showed us some of the footage. The best part was when Ross (Camy’s husband) is taking their 3-year-old daughter, Alandra, back to see Mommy and new baby (she doesn’t know it’s a boy at this point and is beside herself with excitement). So, Ross is taping the whole thing while he walks. Directs Alandra into the room, she goes in yelling, “Mommy!”, Ross follows with camera… wrong delivery room! Hilarious! (Too bad he didn’t get any clips of someone else’s wife in stirrups…)

I need a day where all that’s on the schedule is catching up on my xanga friends and praying for them. Prayed for some of you today, you dear things–lots going on, huh. Definitely puts my outfit-search in perspective. Gabe gave me a gentle-but-firm talking-to last night. I so needed it. Lost my focus for a bit. Well, didn’t lose it. I know where it was–the same place it always is when I “lose” it–on ME.

Lots to do and I’m totally procrastinating. Good night!

How nice that both of the girls’ grandmas will be there while you are in Indy.  What fun for the girls and the grandmas.

Ditto what everyone else said about g-ma. 🙂

Haven’t been able to comment, but wanted you to know I am praying for your grandma. I am dreading the day I am in your shoes…I know it is not too far off.

So glad that your girls are doing better! Have a great time this weekend…you will do AWESOME! 🙂

Praying for your grandma…and for you!  You have a lot going on.

Toooo funny about going into the wrong room!  🙂  Is there a story behind the name Asias – or did they just like the sound of it?

Wow – your cousin and hubby have picked very unique, beautiful names for their babies.  I always love it when creative families have babies because I can’t wait to hear what name they’ll pick. 🙂

i love gentle-but-firm talking-tos from my husband. 😛 well…after the fact. sometimes it’s not so fun while it’s happening…but they’re always so insightful (after i pout for just a little. ;-))

the mood of your post sounds very calm, content & refreshed. Hope that’s how you’re feeling with everything that’s going on. 🙂

That’s a hoot about your cousin-in-law (is that what he is? I think I made that up) going into the wrong room! A great chuckle to start my day.

Praise God for gentle husbands who are in tune with what God needs for/from us. I’ve been on the receiving ends of some of those talking to’s (from DeWayne, not Gabe, of course), and he is right 99.8% of the time.

I just wanted to let you know that I am reading your book and LOVE it! Your brother is the youth pastor at our church so it is fun to read about him and Jess.

I also ordered your other one but it hasn’t come yet!

Thanks for writing such a down-to-earth and honest book about marriage. It is so refreshing! I am going to post a review on amazon.com when I am done. 🙂
