there is hope for me

I am tired of talking about my back. I am not the only one in the world with back problems. I will update in a week or so. The visit w/the medical massage therapist was encouraging. Gabe was impressed (and was NOT w/the chiro). He made me feel better and gave me stretches to do. And even though I’m still experiencing some pain, I feel like it’s all going to be okay in the near future. Thanks for your prayers.

Ava is still testing the waters…my mom watched the girls today, and when something happened that frustrated Ava, she said, “Oh, CRAP!” We had a little talk, and I have been convicted. No more spanking, screaming, or almost-cussing while angry!

Gabe and Livi and Ava are at a Columbus Clippers game. It’s Zoopers night or something like that–lots of mascots and other exciting things. I’m packing baby food and frozen bottles of milk and bug spray and pajamas and every other thing that three girls need for a 36-hour stay with Grandma. I wasn’t completely looking forward to leaving Nina for the first time, but it will be soooo good for me to get a break from picking up the heavy lug. I mean, the healthy little darling.

I am going to spend some money this weekend, and I’m materialistically excited. I can’t remember the last time I bought something fun. My palms are sweating with anticipation.

Happy Weekend to all! Don’t forget to watch the NASCAR race on Sunday afternoon–you might see me in the crowd (of 300,000+)! (I’ll be wearing a black shirt and walking funny.)

    Hey, I hope you all had a good weekend. I also hope you are feeling better Marla…I know it must be difficult being in pain and having three girls! I am sorry I wasn’t able to make it to help out…I really wanted to see my family. Anyways, if you need any help this week I can come over anytime except when I work which is Tues, Thurs and Friday from 5-10:30pm…I could always come in the morning if need be on those days!

    and while i am quite certain that i would not enjoy a nascar race, i do hope that you had a splendid time!  🙂

    AHHH! I haven’t been keeping up on you (or anyone else). I hope the weekedn was a super blast! I’m happy for you that you got some time away. And i’m happy for you that Nina will take a bottle. Well, i’m trying to be happy for you. Actually i’m just jealous.

    stretches = work and are good.  My physio gave me heaps of exercises to do and it takes me an hour a day but it is totally fixing me up so please make sure you do them, it’s worth it 😉

    Have a fun child free weekend with Gabe I look forward to hearing all about it.

    Buy something fun – I too get materialistically (is this a real word, if not I can add it tomy list) excited sometimes – have fun 😉

    Don’t forget the sunscreen–for you, too! 🙂 Our neighbors went to Indy this year and all they had was a zinc oxide stick. They got roasted!
    Stretches=good!!! If its postpartum-related, seems like that would make more sense. Did the MMT mention surgery, too?
    We always get an invitation for free tickets to the May/June Zoopers night from the sweet realtor lady who helped us find our house, but there’s ALWAYS something that comes up (imminent birth, nursing baby, girls without patience for a baseball game, etc.) One of these days we’ll see Charity again. . .
    Well, we don’t get to go to MI after all. DH’s dad needs to work. But we get to go see the other grandparents and work on their computer!

    What days are the garage sales? Seth and Ashley are getting married Saturday and we have the rehearsal Friday evening, but I would LOVE to go garage-saling with you guys if I’m free.
