Tonight I just about turned into one of those moms I can’t stand. The kind who yells at their five-year-old’s soccer game. 🙂 The “ref” was a clueless teenager (girl) who didn’t even try to stop “Johnny” on the turquoise team from yanking kids down to the ground by the necks of their jerseys. Our coach had to “talk” to their coach about it. (Their coach was another story altogether.) She didn’t even keep time, so they played the world’s longest quarter and had to make it halftime instead. Livi’s sit-out quarter happened to be the first one, so she actually sat out the whole first half after Aunt Bethany drove all the way here to see her play. Grrrr… Just keep smiling. Just keep smiling. 🙂 It was actually quite an entertaining game.
I get my galley proofs for Is That All He Thinks About? tomorrow morning via Fed-Ex. This means that I have a week or so to look over the book (it has just been edited by my editor) in its semi-final form and make any last minute changes/corrections. I also have a McGraw-Hill deadline Friday. And we have no food in our house. And I’m having discipline issues with child #1 and child #2. And so on and so forth. Blah, blah, blah.
I had fun on Saturday with Kimberly, Lisa, Sarah and Joan. And got to see Jess and her mom and the little bambina. Unlike me, the tiny one looks exactly the same as she does on xanga. 🙂 Learned that Sarah and I share the same anniversary (6 years apart). And that Kimberly and I know some of the same people. 🙂 And that Lisa really does have exquisite taste in clothes. 🙂 And that Joan is a sweetie to let us buy things at her super-special discount. 🙂
Thanks for all the encouragement about our chat with Satan’s witnesses. We appreciate your prayers. I would just love to see Sally and Shonda show up at our door again someday…
