sickhouse update

Thanks so much for your prayers and encouraging words! Next time I need a pick-me-up, I’m going to make up a story about puke and poo just to elicit love and sympathy. (kidding)

Ava had a fever off and on the rest of the day. Nina had one small yucky diaper (not enough food in her to make an explosion). Then I tried to feed her some supper, and she _________ all over her high chair, then all over the floor. Hmmm… She was fine the rest of the night. Went to bed at 7:30, was up from 4-5 am, back in bed until 7:00. Ava had a fever most of the night. Lots of backscratches, cups of cold water, etc.

As of right now, Nina is down for an early nap, Ava is fever-less, and all seems to be going well. Lord willing, Livi will escape unscathed.

Oh, and our washer works again! Well, sort of. We had a dryer repairman out last week, and I asked him about our on again/off again washer. He said it’s a $200 timer problem. We went with the $99 dryer belt (ours snapped) and called it a day. Neither the washer nor the dryer work how they’re supposed to–I make numerous trips to the basement during each load of laundry to help them along. But at least they do the job eventually! (for now)

Off I go to help Livi do her hair for “Wacky Hair Day” at school! Happy Weekend!

Prayed for you and the girls…My kids went through that junk a couple weeks ago and have felt really bad you’ve had to deal with it….maybe in the next few weeks we can get the girls together to play. Love ya!

Being in child care, I totally understand not wanting the bug to go any further…My children rarely pass things among everyone but one or two is enough!  The funny thing is, their parents are sick more often than I am!  🙂  I must be immune after all these years!

Wacky hair day does sound fun. My mom still does those… herself:-) I’m glad this illness session is passing you. I hope all continues to go well for you.

Today seems to be looking up. That’s great. And if I were you, I’d secretly take out my angst on Livi’s hair: it would look the way I’d been feeling! Have fun!

The house we just bought has laundry in the basement.  I initially thought, “great, my laundry will finally be out of my kitchen”.  I feel like I climb up and down these stairs a million times a day.  Our washer and dryer don’t exactly work properly either.  And, to make matters worse (not that big a deal really).  Our dryer hook up was on the opposite side of the basement as our washer hook up.  So, I lug baskets full of wet laundry to and fro all day long.  Which, honeslty I didn’t mind until I got massively pregnant.  Anyways, the point to this whole long comment is…..I feel your pain.  I DO like laundry in the basement but it is sometimes a pain too.  🙂

I was just thinking about you and wondering how things were going at your house.  Thanks so much for the update!  Praying  Livi and the rest of you don’t get this!  I had my husband read your blog last night and he just shook his head.  With 4 kids we remember all too well those days.  It’s just not fun for anyone and there are days you wonder if you are still sane.  I would love to see the wacky hair too!
