recovering from mother's day

My feet are tired and my heart is full.Thank you, Jesus.

And thank you, Gabe, for capturing this special weekend on 1photoperday.com.

And since Mother’s Day is a day when moms everywhere put their feet up and let their families serve them (insert smiley face), then it’s fitting that I use Gabe’s hard work to fill up my entire blog post today.

First, he surprised me with a dozen roses on Friday night.

Then he cheered me on while I did a million dishes late Saturday night.

Then we got to spend Mother’s Day with both of our moms.

Happy Birthday to my favorite mother-in-law! I love you, Janelle!

What was the highlight of your weekend?

Beautiful roses and what a special Mother’s Day! My folks came up to spend the weekend with us and there were several highlights that evolved around flowers, yummy food, laughter, and sitting outside with my daddy and my boy while he played with rocks. Hugs to you!

One highlight was going to see Oceans the new DisneyNature movie. If you have the chance/budget, take your critter loving fam. Lots of gorgeous underwater filming and even a few creatures I’ve never heard of. Once again lots of Creation Inspiration 🙂 Last year’s movie, Earth, wasn’t out too long so if you have an interest, go soon.

What a day! Lovely roses. Sparkly dishes. Sweet family. You are blessed, friend!

I just blogged about my Mother’s Day. No need to rehash it here. Suffice it to say that I received a memorable card.

Watching the girls greet all the mothers, grandmothers, and great-grandmothers in our church. They’re usually good on giving out hugs and hellos, but yesterday, they were so excited about the holiday that they ran out to these ladies before they could even walk into the building. 🙂

that family picture is awesome. frame it!
hmmm…the highlight? the whole weekend! it was wonderful. probably the part when i learned that the kids discussed a few surprises with daddy. my surprise was eating out (we got outback take out so we didn’t have to fight the crowds), but it was between that and a new bicycle. those were the kids (E1’s) ideas. i think that’s hilarious!

Um – could be the beautiful plate Parker gave me, could be feeling like a princess, could be the fact that my son had his first kiss with some random girl at Macaroni Grill (I’ll blog about it tomorrow!)
