Thank you for praying for me, girls. God is working. (and Satan is attacking, but poo on him) These past few days have been good. Lots of highlights, several lowlights. I’m still on my xanga break, but had to share a few things.
–hours of game time with the girlies. We bought Boggle and Travel Blokus over the weekend. Best $34 we’ve spent in FOREVER. If you’re a Blokus fan, Travel Blokus rocks. Gabe and I played a 90-minute marathon last night.
–2 cool e-mails from women who heard from God through my books. And a letter from Nancy Grace (CNN anchor) thanking me for sending Diapers to her and her newborn twins.
–teaching Livi and Ava how to do laundry. They’re loving it. Sadly, laundry is my favorite household chore (the only one I enjoy). Why, oh why, did I not start by teaching them to scrub tub grout?
–front hallway/foyer mopped, cleaned, organized for the first time since we moved here (almost 2 years ago). You know you never mop things when your children find it a delightful game.
–Nina’s runny nose, chapped cheeks, and yucky cough, Ava’s barking cough and sore throat
–Livi and Ava bawling tonight before bed because they’re afraid of being kidnapped. (Thank you, Jesus, for calming their hearts through Scripture and Daddy’s comforting voice of reason.)
–my lousy laptop keyboard with a cursor that skips all over the place and deletes whole paragraphs and sends incomplete e-mails without my permission
–realizing that I can’t do it all (this is also a highlight)
–Gabe and Ava’s date to see Horton Hears a Who this afternoon
–renting Enchanted from Blockbuster and watching it 4 times in 3 days.
–capris for the girls and baby onesies for their dolls at the thrift store
–pretty spring baskets 60% off at Michael’s and Target
–a copy of Hope Lives to give away next week
–I’m going to She Speaks in NC in June. Woohoo!
Did I say quick update? That was dumb.
My mantras for this week–Fix your eyes on Jesus…Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord…Create in me a pure heart, O God…Restore to me the joy of your salvation…Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, strength…impress these commandments on your children…
I love you guys!
