The book is done. I sent it to the publisher last night (well, this morning) at 1:00 a.m. I actually sent it yesterday afternoon, but long story short, it needed a lot cut. So, after my hot birthday date (more on that in a sec), I spent three hours cutting, moving, revising, tweaking, cutting, cutting, cutting. I got it down from 71,000+ words to 62,000. Exactly what the publisher ordered. And I feel a lot better about it, because I cut a chapter that I just wasn’t thrilled with. Before I know it, it’ll be a real book. That makes me smile. I’m excited for you guys to read it–especially since most of the words are yours!
Kimberly came over at 6:00 last night and watched the girlies while Gabe and I went to Carrabbas, a couple bookstores, Old Navy, and Target. Thanks, Kimberly! But next time, would you mind staying out of our bedroom closet and all of my desk drawers? I don’t care WHAT Gail asked you. Boundaries, girl.
I might blog more later. Just wanted to give all of you room to leave birthday wishes! (how’s that for brutally honest?!)
Have a Happy Halloween! All Saints Day EVE for you non-heathens!
