fifty nifty things

Thanks for sharing friends’ names and stories yesterday. I’ll compile a list, post it next week, and e-mail it to anyone who’s interested.

Many, many books are in the mail. On trucks to far-reaching places like Lititz, PA and Centerville, OH and a whole slew of them to Kentucky. How do I know so many people in Kentucky? I mean, seriously.

I just flew off the handle at my older two children. I feel very yucky inside when I do this. Ugh. I’ll go apologize in a minute.

I also feel yucky (but a different kind) when the bill from Urgent Care comes in the mail, and I pull out my calculator and figure out that I have to sell 585 books to pay it. I wish I were exaggerating. I’m not. And that’s not even counting the $200+ we already spent on prescriptions. Pills and drops that didn’t even work. This is one of those times when I ask God, “Wasn’t that kind of a waste?” Then again, He owns the cattle on a thousand hills. I’m not stressing this time. He never fails me.

I’m off to say “I’m sorry” to Livi and Ava and then get my hair and make-up done at their shop. I’m slightly nervous.

Have a great weekend! Hope some of you get your books!

^Terri, Swedish fish are the yummiest gummy candy out there.  They are those red fish shaped gummy candies that are about the size of a nail clipper (all I could think of to compare it to).  And sometimes you can even find the in other colors.  The best way to buy them is in a bulk box.  Or as penny candy in brown paper bags at baseball games.

Marla, glad to hear you don’t like books.  I always think it’s good when God’s children feel called to ministry they detest.

What in the world are Swedish fish??? AND – – -how could you be more blessed:knowing multiple Kentuckians. You know, in a national survey, only WVA beat KY in # of toothless people. Aren’t we proud.

At least you can look at the Urgent Care bills and know that God can bring you out of the lousiest sickness.

i’m getting a book??  (unless you are referring to another friend in Lititz…)  i’m not even a mommy, but i look forward to reading it!

i can’t eat swedish fish.  they give me migrains.  so do twizzlers and other red-colored gummy candies.

Prayed for God to fill you with His peace and fresh strength to love just now. Do post an “after” picture when your makeover is finished! I too LOVE Swedish fish! They only sell them at IKEA here.
