sneaking a little bloggy in

Gabe just took the girls with him to the bank, post office and car wash. Whew. It was getting a little crazy around here. Got home from Bible study at 11:45, scrounged around in the fridge for lunch (each of us had something completely different to eat), printed out car games for the older two, bagged snacks for the zoo tomorrow…

Bless my dear sweet husband for giving me a few minutes of peace to wash the dishes (I’m actually enjoying it!) and make a little treat to take to Gail’s. I’m still working on some laundry and don’t have a thing packed. We’re aiming to leave at 2:45. We’ll see.

I did call the Louisville Zoo and left a voicemail for the PR director. She e-mailed me today and said she can’t give me free tickets, but she can have a media kit waiting at the front desk for me. Whoopty hoopty. Oh, well. I’ll take what I can get. And it never hurts to ask. And we get 50% off admission anyway. And I really enjoyed the zoo last year (also August 1st–weird). Too bad it will be 831 degrees this year as well. I was a sweaty mess last year. Whose idea was it to hit the KY zoo in AUGUST?! Hmmm…

I’m so excited to see Gail and Krista..and Beth Moore! The video at Bible study today was PHENOMENAL. Like knock-me-out-of-my-chair convicting. Can’t wait to see her in person!

Lord, please bless our trip. Give us an awesome time of fellowship with Gail and DeWayne. I pray that the two dads hit it off and have an easy time watching six little girls for lots and lots of hours. Bless Gail for being so generous and hospitable. Please keep the girly drama to a minimum. Help my family and me to be a HUGE blessing to anyone and everyone you bring across our path. I want to glorify You above all else. I love you so much, and I’m about to cry, and I need to go. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen!

And away we go!! Love you guys! Talk to you Monday!

Hey!  I’m Sarah.  Can I just say your family picture at the top of the page is one of the coolest family pics I’ve ever seen?!    I hope you have an awesome trip!

I know I’m not in the majority on this, but I love washing dishes.  I absolutely struggle not to grumble when I have to dry….so I really am not a huge dishwasher fan.  Mine have never worked all that great anyway.  Try thinking of washing the dishes as a bubble bath for your hands…go ahead, squirt some Bath and Body Works smelly stuff in that water if it helps.

I’ll gladly wash your dishes if I ever come to your house.  Have fun at the zoo…I’ll be curious to hear what all comes in your “media kit!”

Have tons of fun. 🙂  There is always a great moment at the zoo when…A.) animals are mating. or B.) they poop huge and the kids are dying laughing.  Maybe that’s just us. :()  Two of Noah’s toads were mating the other night.  His mimi was here and blushing…he said, “sweet my toads are mating! We’ll have tadpoles soon!..You know…God made their parts to fit together like a puzzle…then they have babies.”  Oh my…his grandma almost fainted.

    Have a blast!!!

You’re about to cry, and I am crying! We’re praying the same stinkin’ thing! Oh, God is so, so very good.

And at least one of you grown ups can get in free to the zoo on our zoo pass, and I’m looking for other coupons. So less than 1/2 price.
