EDIT #2 (2:24 pm):
Hadn’t heard from Ava’s soccer coach, so I e-mailed the coordinator. She said U5 is closed, and she doesn’t have a form for Ava. Please pray that they find it and can somehow place her on a team anyway. I’m in tears praying that I haven’t disappointed yet another daughter–and this time even worse. Thanks!
EDIT (12:58 pm):
Well, I’m just happy as a lark that everybody likes the book cover. I wasn’t thrilled with the Blushing cover but really like this one. Too bad I try to convey in the book that you don’t need to be all beautiful and perfect to enjoy romance with your hubby–and Mr. and Mrs. Hot-Bodied, Perfect Hair Model are gracing the cover. Oh well, if Gabe and I were on the front peeking out of the covers (which Gabe would never, ever do), no one would buy it.
Livi missed her first soccer practice tonight because her mom read the coach’s e-mail wrong. I feel soooooo bad. She is so excited to play soccer, she only has 4 practices before her first game, and I blew it. I’m really upset with myself.
Here’s what Is That All He Thinks About? is going to look like. I’m pretty excited to get it in my hands come January 1. Am trying not to think about the fact that I wrote an entire book about s-e-x. And people are actually going to read it. What was I thinking? Gulp. Gulp. Gulp.
My friend Julie e-mailed me tonight. She gave my book to a friend who is not a believer. The friend told her she really enjoyed the book and that it has already made a difference in her marriage. She and her husband are getting along better than they ever have. She’s not ready to trust Christ yet, but Julie was able to share her testimony with her. I love stories like that. Thanks, God.
My neighbor Heather (from our old neighborhood) also e-mailed me this week. I am feeling sad. I miss walking out my front door and waving to her and Jim. I don’t quite feel at home here yet. But I’m joining my neighbors for the garage sale this weekend. Maybe it will be a bit of a bonding experience.
Last, but BEST, take a listen to Gabe’s first episode of the Godsmac.com podcast. He’s been working really hard to get it all together and to get people lined up for interviews. He really feels God’s call in his life to spread the gospel in this way, and I’m so thankful and excited for him.
Happy 19-minute-old Thursday!
