choosing joy ROCKS!!

And so do all of you! Thanks for holding me accountable last night! And for reaching your hands out to keep me from slipping any further (farther?). I stand in awe. I’m down, I blog, you rally in prayer–not for a huge, pressing need, but a, “Dear Lord, encourage Marla. She’s bummed,” sort of thing. God cares, people! And I’m praising Him humbly this morning for tangible demonstrations of His crazy love.

(See previous post for my issues.)

1. (Gabe and) I decided to go the (ahem) kissing route (again, see previous post). Best decision I’ve ever made. (Note to self: remember that.)

2. Nina slept through the entire night. (she’s had a cold, and the last few nights have been fun) NOBODY got up all night. There was even a huge thunderstorm. (Jill just told me she was scared and wanted to wake up Livi and Ava but didn’t want them to be scared too. Awww…)

3.) I’ve decided to go with Plan G. G is for God. I put my dilemma in His hands (concept!) and will wait patiently for His decision.

4.) I called Chick-Fil-A to see what their free breakfast item is today. (last Tuesday was cinnamon clusters–not my fave) The 3-count Chicken Mini! MY FAVORITE! (well, 2nd favorite, after the 4-count chicken mini) We’re heading out in a bit for 6 (18) free ones! (and I think it’s just our local CFA doing the promo)

5.) I’m working on writing all 104 of your names on slips of paper for the give-away. This afternoon Jill, Livi, Ava, Nina and I will each draw a winner.

I waited patiently for the LORD; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and hear and put their trust in the LORD. Blessed is the man who makes the LORD his trust, who does not look to the proud, to those who turn aside to false gods. Many, O LORD my God, are the wonders you have done. The things you planned for us no one can recount to you; were I to speak and tell of them, they would be too many to declare. (Psalm 40:1-5)

Love you guys!!

Isn’t it something how the “pattern” of life on a day to day basis can be so “up” on minute and “down” the next?  It is tricky to stay on your toes and always do, say, and act the right ways when the downers come.  Way to choose joy…certainly something I need to be better about!  And you’re right, choose God…He’s normally pretty stinkin’ good at making details fall into place and having things turn out the best.

Love the “Always choose joy. Always choose God. Always choose kissing.” comment above!! I completely agree! So glad to hear that morning brought a new perspective- I’m continuing to pray for you! LOVE THE VERSE!! God just reminded me of that very verse last night! Keep trusting!

Always choose joy. Always choose God . Always choose kissing. I love you. I really like ‘the Pit of Pout’……I was there a little last night…then I remembered my fun grandbabies, and – – God…..and…it’ll be OK. We DO need to meet for about a week, I think.

So glad you are joyful and doing great!  What a great deal at Chic today!  God sent an extra blessing your way today just to show you His love.  So glad you are holding fast to Joy and God’s word in this time of waiting on plans ot come together!

yay for joy!  sorry i missed all the saga & the opportunity to pray for you.  and really, really sorry about nina’s bedtime woes.  the bambina is there, too.  She’s getting better, but whoa mama, last night was the worst night EVER.  i shall blog about it soon.

anyway, i hope your 3-chicken-piece jump start to your day gets it going in the right direction.  (that doesn’t make sense…huh?)
