blessed to bursting!

EDIT: (12:19am) Gabe has a NEW BLOG! It’s really sweet! Go say hi! GabeTaviano.com

Sitting here at my laptop, fingers poised on the keys, heart pounding…too hyped-up to type. See, I’ve spent a lot of time this weekend working on a writing thing that means a lot to me. And I’ve been having a lot of doubts. A lot. And my girlies (love them!) have been um…bickering a lot this weekend. A lot. And some things have been getting me down… And… And…

AND God is good. AND I’m trusting Him. AND this morning’s sermon was amazing. AND I played with the girls a lot today. AND the writing thing is going well. AND Amanda at Baby Bangs just e-mailed me saying she wrote a post about Expecting! And I read it! And it’s so, so, so sweet! And no, it didn’t solve all of life’s problems. But it was God’s way of reminding me that, “Marla, I love you. I care about you and the things you care about. I see your struggles. I know your heart. I know you’re not perfect. I love you. I love you!”

I love you, too, God.

Anyway. I just wanted to share. I’ve never met Amanda, a.k.a., Very Very Pregnant Girl, in real life, but I certainly plan to. She lives in Texas, where I’ve never been, but rumor has it, there are many, many, many zoos in that state. See you in a couple months, Amanda! And thank you, sweet thing, for your way-too-kind words! Bless you to the bottom of your beautiful, round belly and back!

Have a great week, everyone!

EDIT: (8:41am) Here’s my verse for Scripture Sisters for this week. Typing it from memory…eek! Hoping to get it word-for-word, but I’m fuzzy on all the punctuation. (forgot the words in red!)

Ephesians 2:8-10 (NIV)
For (it is) by grace you have been saved through faith–and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God–not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Marla,  Great post.  Thanks for the reminder that God’s in the “And’s”, too!  =)  I so wish that I had lots and lots of followers so I could give you props, too.  And then there’s the whole…I’m not planning on expecting again any time soon…like EVER!  And if I do…well, Shane’s doctor will have a little explaining to do.  But I’ll still read it when it’s released (or is it out already?)

You really must come to Texas!! We do have some great zoos!! The Ft. Worth zoo for instance is fun! And I agree with Amanda… before mid June would be best!!! 🙂 It gets entirely too hot and humid!!

Yes, we do have some zoos! I’m thrilled that I might get to meet y’all soon! You will definitely want to work your Texas trip in before mid-June, or you will curse the day you came to our great state.

Yes, Amanda mightily rocks… but so do you, Marla!  I would SO line up to meet Amanda if I ever made it to Houston.  Then again… if I knew you were doing a book signing in my town… I’d stand in line for a day to meet you. 🙂  Or, we could just meet at the Pittsburgh Zoo.  I’d buy all of you an ice cream cone. 😀

I came over from Amanda’s blog and just wanted to say what a neat book! I will be giving this to my pregnant friends when I find out they are expecting. What a neat way to pray through your pregnancy! I’m also going to check out your other book as well!
