who loves coupons??

I’m not a very good saleswoman. See? You don’t ever admit that kind of thing if you’re hoping to sell something. And I’m hoping to sell something today. To YOU.

A Restaurant Super-Saver Book.

A little background first. My Aunt Lisa (my mom’s younger sister) called me earlier this week with a proposition.

For as long as I’ve known her (which would be 34+ years), Aunt Lisa has been a visionary, an entrepreneur, trying new products and ideas. Health food in particular stands out in my mind. When we were little, we’d go stay at her house in Virginia for a week of vacation, and we’d always go to the local grocery store for our own provisions (sugared cereals, ice cream), because Aunt Lisa ate things like Barley Green and Carob Chip Cookies and things that were “whole” and “raw.” Lisa was green looooong before green was cool.

So, anyway, besides being green, Lisa has a huge heart for God and helping others. She started working with a new business this past year and was recently introduced to their fund-raising division. Her team leader encouraged her to be thinking of organizations who could use some help raising money. She started praying that God would show her who she was supposed to help, and lo and behold, she finds out on Facebook that Gabe and I are going to Cambodia.

“I really want to help you guys,” she told me when she called, all hyped-up and energetic. And she got me excited too, because I know so many of you have wished you could help out with our trip, but it’s just not in your family’s budget. I think I might have a solution for some of you.

So, here’s the scoop: You can buy a Restaurant Super-Saver Book for $33 (this includes the cost to ship it to you from VA). $15 from each book will go toward our Cambodia trip. The book includes over $300 in coupons. And to restaurants you’ve actually heard of!

Like, A & W, Arby’s, Auntie Anne’s, Baskin Robbins, Bennigan’s, Blimpie’s, Boston Market, Burger King, Captain D’s, Carl’s Jr., Checkers, Church’s Chicken, Coldstone Creamery, Denny’s, Domino’s Pizza, Dunkin’ Donuts, Fazoli’s, Flamers Grill, Friendly’s, Hardee’s, Hungry Howie’s Pizza, IHOP, Jack-in-the-Box, KFC, Lonestar Steakhouse, Longhorn Steakhouse, Long John Silvers, McDonald’s, Miami Subs, Mrs. Field’s, Papa John’s, Pizza Hut, Planet Smoothie, Popeye’s, Quizno’s, Rally’s, Schlotzky’s Deli, Smoothie King, Sonic, Sonny’s Real Pit Bar-B-Q, Steak and Ale, TCBY, Tony Roma’s, Tropical Smoothie Cafe, UNO Chicago Grill, Waffle House, Wendy’s.

Now, unless you live out in the middle of n-o-w-h-e-r-e, you probably have a majority of these restaurants near your home. Of the 47 restaurants listed, we have 35(ish) of them in Columbus. And I’ll just use the Southern coupons when we go back and visit all our Down-South Zoo Friends (or send those coupons to them as a little treat).

You might have a few questions. I did.

Like, could you give me a sample of a coupon? Is it, “Spend $100 at Longhorn Steakhouse and get $2 off your final order?”

No, Aunt Lisa said, it’s like, “Buy one Big Mac, get one free.” Oooh, me likey.

How about this–can you use the coupons anywhere in the country? or will they say, “Good only in the Willamette Valley in Oregon?”

You can use them anywhere, Lisa says. And the coupons are good until June 30, 2011. And they boast a 63% repeat sales record, meaning people sell them, love them, and sell them again.

So, here’s the scoop: If you’d like to buy a book, you can click here to pay $33 via paypal or you can click here to e-mail me and ask me for my address so you can send a check. You have until next Friday, June 4 to purchase a coupon book. So, if you’re sending a check, you might want to get it in the mail by Tuesday, June 1.

If you have questions, please ask them in the comments. Aunt Lisa will hop in as she can and answer them for you.

Honestly, it kind of comes down to a trust thing. I trust Aunt Lisa that this is an awesome coupon book that will save my family (and yours) lots of money. And you’ll have to trust me by sending me money without first seeing a coupon book in your hands. How about this? I’ll refund your $33 if you’re not satisfied.

A huge thank-you to Aunt Lisa for giving Gabe and me this opportunity! And a huge thank-you to you guys for helping us out! I hope and pray your family is blessed by yummy (and probably not altogether healthy) food this coming year!

Here’s all the pertinent info in succinct form: Coupon books are $33 (we get $15 of that for our trip). Pay via paypal or check by Friday, June 4 (mail checks by June 1). Allow 2-3 weeks for processing, then watch the mail for your Super-Saver Restaurant Coupon Book. Eat out! Save $!

And some related info: Thank you to those of you who are going to go shopping for the Cambodian kiddos! I would loooove to send you a color brochure with the kids’ faces, names and ages, so you can see who you’re buying for! You can get a sneak peek here.

Next Week on the Blog: a really cool interview with Pete Wilson, Nashville pastor, husband of my sweet friend Brandi, and author of the book Plan B.

Have an awesome Memorial Day Weekend! A HUGE THANK-YOU to all of those serving (and who have served) our country in the military! Including my beloved Cousin Kirk! Love you, Kirk!

You might be probably to obtain thousands of websites online that offer you the item you want, so take the time to locate the best product supplied by a reputable internet site that is safe. Given that there’s so substantially competition available you will obtain buyers have the upper hand. It is possible to likely acquire what you want for much less than retailers present it even using the price of shipping it to you. This is considering they have to compete with a lot of other internet sites and mainly because they don’t have the identical overhead expenses as brick and mortar retailers.
