I love SPRING!! Birds chirping, flowers blooming, WALKING 10 MILES to FIGHT HUMAN TRAFFICKING!! Wooohoooo!!!
As I type this on March 25, snow is gently falling from the sky and blanketing the ground. What the what?!? No matter, we shall carry on and plan our walk!!
Last year, as a 6-year-old, she walked every step of the 10 miles (I can’t find the post with pics–ack!).
This year, we’re hoping and praying Mom’s (me) sciatic nerve stays un-flared so she can walk pain-free.
And I love this post my friend Kim (we met in Cambodia!) wrote about the kiddos this walk will help.
We decided to turn this year’s fund-raising into a little friendly family competition. Gabe made us an update-able bar graph, and our GREAT BIG GOAL is $400 apiece for a total of $2000!
Check it out here: Taviano Fam Traffick Jam 2013 Bar Graph-o-Rama!
And if you want to learn even more about Hard Places and the amazing work they’re doing in Jesus’ name, here’s a really cool video.
Thanks so much, friends, for giving!! We LOVE you!!!
