If I had the time, I would go on and on and on about how giving someone a beautiful photo of himself or herself is the absolute most perfect gift ever.
But today I do NOT have the time. (Today is your lucky day.)
This Saturday, our family has the fabulous honor of being part of an event called Help Portrait. We participated in this international event for three years in Columbus, and that day in December was one of my favorite days of the whole year.
Basically, photographers set up their gear in homeless shelters, schools, churches, community centers, and take free portraits of individuals and families, print out the best photo, and give it to them for free.
But it’s sooooo much more than that.
(No time, Marla. Short sentences. Cut the fluff.)
It’s a GIFT. A gift that says I SEE YOU. YOU ARE VALUABLE. YOU ARE WORTH SO MUCH. YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL.
And we get to give that gift to some beautiful families here in Siem Reap, Cambodia on Saturday. Some of whom have never, ever had a picture taken of themselves or their family.
I CAN’T WAIT. And I can’t wait to share photos and video with you.
NOW. WE NEED YOUR HELP.
