last chance for books

Hey, friends. I’m doing a little simplifying/streamlining with my book inventory. I can’t afford to buy in bulk from my publisher at the moment (the only way I can get an author discount), so I’m only keeping books on hand for speaking engagements (and I’m done with those until July). So I won’t be fulfilling online book orders, just pointing people to Amazon.

I do have 2 copies of Is That All He Thinks About? up for grabs. If you want one, e-mail me.

And I have 3 2 copies of Expecting. I can mail them to a friend of yours TODAY and guarantee she’ll get it Saturday, just in time for Mother’s Day. Let me know if you’re interested.

I have 6 5 copies of From Blushing Bride to Wedded Wife, and then that book will be out of my life for good. EXCEPT that I’m totally re-doing it as an e-book, and I’m really excited about it. It’s going to have a new title, new cover (and I’ll be enlisting your help with both of those!) and tons of new content (plus all the stuff I don’t like taken out).

And here’s the cool thing: everyone who owns a copy of the original book will get the e-book FREE.

Let me know if you want one of the last “Collector’s Editions.” 🙂 $3 + $3 shipping. E-mail me.

AND I’m all out of copies of Changing Your World One Diaper at a Time (FINALLY!!). It’s available used on Amazon or as an e-book. (Did you know you can click “Give as a Gift” on Amazon, and send an e-book to a friend for Mother’s Day via e-mail?? Fun! Easy! Woohoo!!)

Also. I have a list of Crisis Pregnancy Centers waiting for copies of Expecting to hand out to women who visit their centers. If you’re interested in sponsoring a book (or 2) for $8 each, let me know. Fun, easy way to bless a mama-to-be in need this Mother’s Day.

And of course there are always e-books, my new favorite way to read. The Husband’s Guide to Getting Lucky and Once Upon the Internet are both available for Kindle/Nook/iPad/computer for $2.99.

LAST thing: I have 2 fun books to give away (not mine).

1. Zealous Love
2. Simple Compassion

Both good books for someone with a heart for helping those in need. Zealous Love is a great overview (with gorgeous pictures) of needs around the world and how you can help, and Simple Compassion is subtitled, “Devotions to Make a Difference in Your Neighborhood and Your World.” I own copies of them both and really, really enjoyed them (and have referenced them several times since I read them).

For a chance to win, tell me:

1. Which book of mine is your favorite (or which ones intrigues you the most).

2. Which book you’d like to win.

Marla, I was most excited by your recent book ‘Once Upon the Internet’ as it’s one that has the widest audience (being a single guy the others haven’t had a huge amount of appeal to me)… I recently started reading Once Upon the Internet and am thoroughly enjoying it!

    ‘Simple Compassion’ has certainly caught my fancy. I’m a bit scared by the concept of something that will ‘break your heart with the things that break God’s.’, but that’s primarily because I don’t like change nor do I like risks… maybe, just maybe, it’s something I need though. {sigh}

  2. Gabrielle

I shamefully admit that I haven’t read any of these but would like to read Once Upon the Internet and I’d love to win the Simple Compassion book!

  5. Mandy Altum

I am most intrigued by “Changing Your World One Diaper at a TIme,” and “Is that All he thinks about?”

I’d like to win either of these. 🙂

    1. LOVED and very much needed ‘Is That All He Thinks About’

    2. Would love to win ‘Simple Compassion’

  7. Cheryl P

I like diapers the best, probably because it is my first one of your that I read. I would love to either one but zealous love intrigues me the most.

    1. Once upon the Internet! I felt like you were sitting in the same room as me telling your story! Loved how you wrote it!
    2. Simple compassion sounds like it would speak to me right now.

  9. Diane

Any book of yours would be good…I’m of age to be a gramma but it I won the expecting one….I’d give it to someone who is expecting.

I have several of your books – Is that all He Thinks About. Diapers. Expecting. From Blushing Bride… I don’t know. I enjoyed them all, but Blushing is probably my favorite. Both books above look great, but I think I’d pick Zealous Love.

“Is That All He Thinks about” was great, and I look forward to “Once Upon the Internet” when I get my new ereader set up.
Both books look great but “Zealous Love” would be my first pick!

I don’t get the opportunity to read your blog every day and I have only been reading it since the 30 days of purging. God has really spoken to my heart about my relationship with my husband and your book “Is That All He Thinks About” kept tapping at my thoughts until I bought it. I have only been reading it for the last week but what an eye opening revelation that I am not being totally obedient to God. I am praying that by the time I finish reading I will have opened my heart to God’s answer for why I can love my husband so intensely and still be so uninterested in the physical. I have not read any of your other books yet because I won’t permit myself to buy another until I finish this one. Thank you for keeping your heart and mind open to God’s leading and your willingness to share that insight and wisdom with us.

My favorite book of yours is Is That All He Thinks About?, I love that book and although I am not all the way through it yet, it has made me think differently. I would loke to read Simple Compassion. That book looks like it would really help me grow into the person God wants me to be. Thank you for all you do Marla! Such a blessing 🙂

I now have ALL of your books, and my favorite is honestly Is That All He Thinks About? As a young married woman, and a mom, there is a lot of negative stigma in this crazy world about submission to your husband, and this book helped me establish the kind of relationship I want to have with my husband. 😀 Two of our friends who got married in the same 6 month period as us (I was 19, my husband 22) are divorced, and I know how much the world can really destroy a marriage. So it’s awesome to think back/re read your book and be encouraged!
If I picked from the two books, it would definitely be Simple Compassion!

I loved “Blushing”, but now you have me intrigued. I’ll have to read the new ebook to make sure you didn’t take out my favorite parts!!

and if i i win, i’m sure God will let you know which of the 2 He wants me to have. He’s good like that.

Marla, I absolutely love Diapers! (Although I know it isn’t your favorite 🙂 It has kept me company many a nursing night!! I have found it so encouraging and reading it makes me feel like I’m chatting with a friend, rather than the only person awake in the world. (Cool story: The day this book arrived in the mail, was the day I had my 2nd son, just by chance!) Also, Simple Compassion looks great, I would love to read it!
