I can’t afford to buy in bulk from my publisher at the moment (the only way I can get an author discount), so I’m only keeping books on hand for speaking engagements (and I’m done with those until July). Zealous Love is a great overview (with gorgeous pictures) of needs around the world and how you can help, and Simple Compassion is subtitled, “Devotions to Make a Difference in Your Neighborhood and Your World.” I own copies of them both and really, really enjoyed them (and have referenced them several times since I read them).

Marla, I was most excited by your recent book ‘Once Upon the Internet’ as it’s one that has the widest audience (being a single guy the others haven’t had a huge amount of appeal to me)… I recently started reading Once Upon the Internet and am thoroughly enjoying it!
‘Simple Compassion’ has certainly caught my fancy. I’m a bit scared by the concept of something that will ‘break your heart with the things that break God’s.’, but that’s primarily because I don’t like change nor do I like risks… maybe, just maybe, it’s something I need though. {sigh}
I shamefully admit that I haven’t read any of these but would like to read Once Upon the Internet and I’d love to win the Simple Compassion book!

I have several of your books – Is that all He Thinks About. Diapers. Expecting. From Blushing Bride… I don’t know. I enjoyed them all, but Blushing is probably my favorite. Both books above look great, but I think I’d pick Zealous Love.
“Is That All He Thinks about” was great, and I look forward to “Once Upon the Internet” when I get my new ereader set up.

I don’t get the opportunity to read your blog every day and I have only been reading it since the 30 days of purging. God has really spoken to my heart about my relationship with my husband and your book “Is That All He Thinks About” kept tapping at my thoughts until I bought it. I have only been reading it for the last week but what an eye opening revelation that I am not being totally obedient to God. I am praying that by the time I finish reading I will have opened my heart to God’s answer for why I can love my husband so intensely and still be so uninterested in the physical. I have not read any of your other books yet because I won’t permit myself to buy another until I finish this one. Thank you for keeping your heart and mind open to God’s leading and your willingness to share that insight and wisdom with us.
My favorite book of yours is Is That All He Thinks About?, I love that book and although I am not all the way through it yet, it has made me think differently. I would loke to read Simple Compassion. I now have ALL of your books, and my favorite is honestly Is That All He Thinks About? As a young married woman, and a mom, there is a lot of negative stigma in this crazy world about submission to your husband, and this book helped me establish the kind of relationship I want to have with my husband.
Two of our friends who got married in the same 6 month period as us (I was 19, my husband 22) are divorced, and I know how much the world can really destroy a marriage. So it’s awesome to think back/re read your book and be encouraged!
If I picked from the two books, it would definitely be Simple Compassion!
I loved “Blushing”, but now you have me intrigued. I’ll have to read the new ebook to make sure you didn’t take out my favorite parts!!

It has kept me company many a nursing night!! I have found it so encouraging and reading it makes me feel like I’m chatting with a friend, rather than the only person awake in the world. (Cool story: The day this book arrived in the mail, was the day I had my 2nd son, just by chance!) Also, Simple Compassion looks great, I would love to read it!
