humbling–the good kind {day 27 of 31}

If I had my choice of humbling experiences, I’d pick the kind where you desperately need something, and someone comes along and helps you (as opposed to the humbling that comes when you elevate yourself in some fashion and then come crashing down–been there, yuck).

Am I making any sense?

Our family has been praying for some miracles this weekend, and God has shown himself powerful. Little things here, BIG THINGS there. And he used someone really special and sweet to just knock our socks off today. Holy cow.

And I’m Facebook chatting with a friend on another continent right this minute, and she just told me this really, really cool story about some people they barely know who are leaving friends, family, jobs to take care of a little girl my friend and her family have been caring for since last fall. So my friend and her family can take a trip home to the States to see their loved ones for the first time in a long time.

Am I making any sense? I’m so tired, and I’m running out of time to get a blog post written for today…

My friend wrote, “So humbling when people serve you in such a huge way. I mean, what do you DO with that? How can I fathom such a love from my Father, that He cares so much and is so powerful and willing to meet my needs?”

Amen, amen, amen, amen. May you feel the Father’s love today in a big way and trust him to meet every last one of your needs.

Because he absolutely wants to. And he absolutely can.
