Hello, friends! So excited for today! If you’re reading this before 1:00 pm EST, there’s still time to catch my interview on Moody’s Midday Connection (the 2nd half of the show).
If you’re here because you listened to the program, WELCOME! So happy you’re here!! If you missed it, you can listen to it as a podcast. (see pics from the taping here)
(If you have no desire to listen, that’s okay too. I choose words on a page/screen over video/audio pretty much 100% of the time. I GET IT. Feel free to scroll to the end where I talk about the FREE STUFF I’m giving away.)
If you’re here to get more information on Cambodia and how you can help, GLORY BE, let’s get right at it!!
Here’s a link to some specific needs the Boys’ Center has (and the video is a MUST MUST see).
Here’s a link if you’d like to help some Cambodian friends raise the funds to go on a mission trip to India (so, so cool).
And here’s info on Asia’s Hope, the organization that runs the orphanage we spent a lot of time at (love these kids so much).
And on the side bar over there –>, you can click on “Cambodia” and read all about our trips (July 2010 and Dec 2011-Jan 2012).
If you’re here because you’d like to donate a copy of Expecting to a crisis pregnancy center, BLESS YOU.
It’s $8, and if you have a specific center in mind, let me know. Otherwise, I’ll send it to one of the centers on our waiting list. We’re coming up on 700 copies donated so far. SO THANKFUL!!
You can click here to donate online ($8/book). And if you want to share some ideas for centers who would love some books, PLEASE DO!
Tomorrow I’ll be guest-posting on the Midday Connection Blog, and then I’ll “finish the story” over here on my blog.
And my sweeeet Blessed tee that got so many compliments at the taping? You can buy yours (or an awesome, super-soft hoodie) from my talented friend, Jackie, at DressBlessed.com. Mention you heard about it here, and part of your proceeds will go to Cambodia (!!).
Whew. That’s a lot of info, but now… FREE STUFF!!
1. Every single person who leaves a comment on this post will receive (if you want!) a copy of one of my e-books: The Husband’s Guide to Getting Lucky or Once Upon the Internet. (OUTI is in pdf format, and THGTGL comes w/4 files you can use on any e-reader). I’ll e-mail you your free e-book.
2. Using the fancy-schmancy Rafflecopter apparatus below, you can enter to win a $5 gift card to Starbucks AND a copy of Is That All He Thinks About? OR Expecting. (There will be 1 book + 1 gift card awarded to TWO lucky winners.)
Any questions?? If not, GET WINNING!! And I’ll see you back here tomorrow!
**IMPORTANT NOTE: To be entered in the give-away, you have to click on the rafflecopter buttons (i.e., if you left a comment or shared the post or donated a book). Rafflecopter will then choose the winners from that pool. Confused? Don’t be afraid to ask.

I just found your website through Midday Connection. I am enjoying your honest, sincere posts.
Thank you, Michele!! Let me know if you want a free e-book (and which one)!
So – it took me a few days to reply to your post. If it’s not too late, I would like a copy of “The Husband’s Guide to getting Lucky”. Thanks
It’s not too late. Is that your real e-mail address? It looks kind of spammy.
Yes, that’s my email address – my husband’s idea, only used for contact with businesses to keep ads. out of my regular email. I can see why it might appear a little fishy =).
Thanks for checking.
You are so adorable. Love the picture from the interview
Looking forward to reading OUTI!
Well, aren’t you just the sweetest thing!! Thanks, Andrea!
I enjoyed listening to the interview! Thanks for sharing your heart!
Thank YOU, friend!
I found your blog about a year ago and I find I NEED to check in every few days to see how you are and what you are passionate about. God has been working on my heart in a few of the areas you address. I am saving your interview to listen to on my off days when I can get a few uninterrupted moments. I have your book “Is That All He Thinks About”. And I am not rejoicing in your troubles but I take your advice more seriously knowing that you honestly address your own shortcomings. Thank you so much for sharing your life and passions. I am praying for you at this moment, for Gabe’s anxiety, marital stress, homeschooling challenges, and the clarity to step away from the immediate and focus on God and the strength he will supply you with.
I have been debating about getting your “The Husband’s Guide to Getting Lucky” and would love to have a copy. Thank you!
What an encouragement. Thanks so much, Connie!!
I listened to you today from Birmingham AL and I really appreciated that you shared your story but you are still in the middle of it, waiting for God to bring some things to pass. I find myself in a different but comparable situation as I wait for God’s timing for healing. I’m so glad they had you on today. I have a heart for China – we lived there for a year, so I loved hearing about your passion for Cambodia. Blessings to you.
Oh, wow, Joy. Would love to hear more about your time in China! And let me know if you’d like a free e-book!
